Rearview cameras like Garmin BC 30 can be further improved to alleviate the rise in road accidents in Singapore. This report discusses the current Garmin BC 30 and identifies areas of improvement through proposing adaptations to the current product as well as discussing the benefits of these adaptations.

During the primary and secondary research conducted, it was identified that the current Garmin BC 30 is lacking similar offerings by competitors in terms of features and functions. To work on the problem of inadequate product features, this report proposes improvement and new enhancement to Garmin BC 30 to expand on its functionalities so that the product can better serve the needs of users.

While the proposed adaptations to the current Garmin BC 30 through an “all in one Garmin BC 30” will greatly benefit Garmin in terms of an increased in sales, the proposed adaptation has its drawbacks as well. An evident drawback would be the cost needed to develop and maintain the mobile application to create an “all in one Garmin BC 30”. However, as the benefits of the proposed adaptation far exceeds the cost incurred, it is advisable to implement the proposed adaptations to the current Garmin BC 30.

As a result, this report aims to convince Garmin stakeholders that the expansion on Garmin BC 30’s existing features is vital in improving customer’s satisfaction of the product and thus, the sales of the product.
